Lead Scoring and the Review Queue

Updated July 22, 2026·Capturing Leads·Share on X

Not every lead deserves the same follow-up. Conference Hero scores each lead as it is captured, sets a temperature, and routes unverified captures through a review queue so your pipeline stays clean. This article covers how scoring works, how to review, and what you can do inside a single lead.

How scoring works

Every lead gets a score from 0 to 100, built from clear factors:

  • Contact completeness - having an email, phone, and notes each add points. A lead you can actually reach scores higher.
  • Job title - senior titles score more. C-suite scores highest, then director-level, then manager-level.
  • Capture method - a badge scan or a self-submitted landing page submission is a stronger signal than a name typed by hand, so it earns a bonus.

The score maps to a temperature: Hot, Warm, or Cold. Temperature is what drives follow-up priority in AI campaigns, and you can override it on any lead.

The review queue

Captures that are not yet verified land in the review queue rather than straight into your approved pipeline. This is where you catch a garbled OCR read, a duplicate, or a lead that belongs to a different conference before it counts.

From the queue you can:

  • Approve a lead into the pipeline.
  • Dismiss a lead that is not worth keeping.
  • Edit the details first, then approve.

Voice captures that sync from offline, and imports you route to review, arrive here. You decide what routes to review versus straight-through when you import a CSV or configure capture.

The lead drawer

Click any lead to open its drawer, the single place everything about that person lives:

  • Overview - name, company, title, contact details, score, temperature, source, and capture method. UTM source, medium, and campaign show here for landing-page leads.
  • Notes and activity - what was said, what changed, and when.
  • Meetings - schedule a new meeting or log one that already happened. See meetings and booking links.
  • Outreach - the emails sent to this lead and the drafts waiting for review.

The owner of a lead is the person responsible for following up. Ownership matters: AI follow-up drafts go to the lead's owner for review and send from the owner's own mailbox, and replies land in the owner's inbox.
