Your Home Page: What It Shows and Why
Home is the first page you see after signing in. It isn't the same for everyone: it shows what you do at events, today, in your own time zone. A rep sees the leads they own and their own numbers. A planner sees deadlines and budgets. A team lead sees how each event and each person is doing.
What you do at events
When you accept your invite, you're asked What do you do at your team's events? Pick all that apply:
- Planning events: booth, budget, deadlines and logistics.
- Selling at events: meeting people, scanning badges and following up.
- Leading the team: how each event and each person is doing.
- Running campaigns: event pages, meetings booked, follow-up and pipeline.
- Managing our tools and data: HubSpot, imports, lead owners and reports.
Under your greeting, Home says what it's showing ("Showing: Planning events, Leading the team"). Press Change to pick again, or change it any time under Profile → What I do at events.
If you haven't answered yet, Home makes a guess from what you've done lately (the conferences you're on, the leads you've scanned, the campaigns and imports you've run) and says "(our guess)". A bar under the greeting asks you to choose. Not now hides the bar for good; Home keeps guessing until you answer.
The order of Home
From top to bottom:
- The header: your greeting and today's date, the New menu (lead, lead import, task, conference, voice note, AI Task Planner) and one button for what's most likely next, such as Open lead scanner during a conference you attend. When you come back after a few hours, a line under it says what's new since you last looked, such as "Since yesterday: 23 new leads, 2 meetings booked." (If you only see your own numbers, it counts your own leads and meetings.)
- The review: when a conference wrap-up or its 30-day results are ready, a card invites you to open it. See the conference wrap-up.
- Getting started, in new workspaces (see below).
- Needs you today: one list of what's waiting for you. Your meetings today, overdue tasks, follow-ups that are due, hot leads with no next step, campaign steps to send, AI drafts to approve and anything that needs fixing. Overdue items come first, then your meetings today, then what's due today, then the rest, with the team's items last. Each lead shows once, under its most urgent reason. There's no dismiss button: an item leaves when you act on it. The heading shows how many items there are and how many are overdue. When the list is empty, it tells you what's next: your next meeting, your next task due or your next conference.
- Your conference cards: up to two of your conferences, live first, then just ended, then the next one coming up. What a card shows depends on where the conference is: tasks, budget and the event page before it starts; leads and scans during it; follow-up, waiting leads and pipeline after it. When more conferences qualify, pick another from the menu on the card.
- The sections for your work, in a fixed order: My follow-ups, After the event and My numbers (Selling at events), My tasks, Planning, Team (Leading the team), Pipeline from events (Running campaigns), Data health (Managing our tools and data), a Campaigns line when your workspace also has Campaign Hero, and, for admins, a short card of things only an admin can fix.
The top of the page shows first; the sections below it fill in a moment later.
The first two sections with something in them start open. The rest show as one line with a count, like "Data health · 3 to fix". Open or close any section; Home remembers it in this browser.
Acting on Needs you today
Almost everything in the list opens right on Home:
- A task opens in the task window. Rows about a lead also have a Lead button that opens the lead.
- A meeting opens on the side of the page.
- A hot lead with no next step opens the lead; Set next step picks the next step without opening it.
- Campaign emails waiting for you lists the steps to send, each with Send now and a link to check the copy first.
- Expenses to approve lists them with Approve and Reject (you can add a note when you reject).
- Leads with no owner lists the leads with an owner picker on each. Admins can also give them all to one teammate at once. Leads waiting 7+ days and leads that failed to sync to HubSpot list the leads; click one to open it, or open the whole list in Leads.
- Credits running low (admins) shows the credit packs on your plan to buy.
- No scoring profile lets you pick or build a profile for each conference.
Three rows still take you to their page: reconnecting HubSpot or the workspace calendar (you sign in with HubSpot, Google or Microsoft), reviewing AI drafts (a full editor with its own send step) and publishing an event page (so you can see it first).
Later on a task
Later moves a task's due day to tomorrow, a week from today or a day you pick. It leaves the list right away; Undo in the message that appears moves it back.
Done on a task
Done marks the task done and takes it off the list right away. Undo in the message that appears puts it back on your list, except for a campaign's LinkedIn or call step, where the campaign has already moved on. Then:
- If the task came from a LinkedIn or call step of a campaign, the lead moves on to the next step of that campaign.
- Tasks that were only waiting on this one ("Blocked by") are unblocked, and the people they're assigned to are told.
- If the task was about a lead and that lead has no other open task, Home asks What's next? so you can set the next step, snooze the lead or say no next step is needed.
For a campaign's LinkedIn or call step, Done also logs that message or call on the lead. Other tasks don't log an email, call or meeting; log those from the lead.
A task with sub-tasks shows how many are done. Done only works once every sub-task is ticked. Press it with sub-tasks still open and the task window opens so you can tick them. Finish the task there and Home asks What's next? the same way.
During a conference
While a conference you're attending or planning is live, Home reloads its numbers every minute and a half, so new leads and scans show without refreshing the page. It waits while a window is open or you're typing.
Data health
Data health lists what needs fixing in HubSpot, the workspace calendar, lead owners and imports, plus your credits. It shows possible duplicates with how many there are (leads with the same email, or the same name and company), and nothing when there are none. Leads still being scored shows only while scores are being worked out.
Own numbers or team numbers
If Selling at events is the only thing you picked, Home shows your own numbers only: the leads you own, your meetings, your pipeline. That holds even after an event you didn't go to: the leads from it that you own show up under After the event. Everyone else also sees the team's numbers on the conference cards and in their sections.
Getting started
In a workspace's first 90 days, Home shows a short checklist:
- Admins see the workspace's setup steps: add the first conference, set up an ideal customer profile, invite a teammate, add the first lead, scan the first lead, connect HubSpot (when your workspace has it) and send the first follow-up.
- Members see their own steps: connect your email and open your lead scanner link.
Each step has a link to do it. Steps tick themselves off as they happen. The list goes away when every step is done, or when you press Hide (that's only for you; your teammates keep theirs).
A workspace with no conferences yet shows two ways in where the conference cards go: Start your first conference, or Import last event's badge scans to bring in the leads from an event you already went to. See importing leads.
Viewers
Viewers get a read-only Home: one conference card with the team's numbers and a link to its latest review, today's numbers (leads, companies, conferences, hot leads and meetings today) and links to the pages they can read, including the Post-Event ROI report and Cross-Event Benchmark when your plan has them.
On a phone
On a phone, Home puts Needs you today first, then your conference cards (the button for what's most likely next moves into a card), then the rest. Sections start closed, so you can scroll to the one you want.
Time zone
"Today" on Home is your day, in the time zone under Profile → My timezone (or the workspace's when you haven't set one). Meetings today, overdue tasks and the greeting all follow it.
